I had the same problem on my 06 600. Run it on centerstand at night in a dark place with the tank off and look for sparks and arcs around the coils to the frame.

Power cuts in and out at high revs and full throttle.

Motorcycle cutting out at high revs. Recently my bike has been cutting out or bogging down at full throttle Anything below half throttle is fine but this is strange as it was fine a few days ago was happy at fully throttle but now when i open it up from a slow speed the revs will die out and stall if i do it at high speed it sounds like im chopping on and off the throttle then it will bog down. I changed the spark plugs and ran some sea-foam through it and still continuing to cut out. Try running it with half choke or full choke at high revs.

If the idle is too high the main problems are these. Sometimes they drop slowly while Im at a light usually over more than. It starts cutting out at around 4000RPM.

In first and second it revs to maybe 6000rpm then cuts out. Idle level too high A high idle level is not dangerous for your motorcycle but it have a few disadvantages and its still a sign that something is not right. The coils might be leaking at the higher revs old insulation breakdown and high-voltage punch-thru.

Feels like Im running out of gas or like its hitting the rev limiter. If the tank vent is a problem the tank could be gulping air and cause power to drop and return. Dont these have two stage ignition things dont know.

When the tach reaches around 6-7 rpm the engine begins to bog but it doesnt cut out. When your motorcycle engine is getting too much air and not enough fuel it wont run right. And has been on the dyno doesnt cut out there.

The bike has 3700. In fact the more gas you try to give the motorcycle the more air will be sucked into the unwanted holes which will ultimately make you lose power. In 4th gear it does it around 60mph and 5th gear it does it around 77mph.

I concluded that it was the sensor and i went the cheap easy route and just cut and spliced the wires. If you roll on the throttle slowly to 6-7k it begins to jerk back and forth but it never goes past 6500k. It cuts out sooner in each subsequent gear and by the time Im in 5th or 6th its cutting out at around 4000 rpm.

Could be my mind playing tricks on me by saying I think the bike feels weak. Its pretty common for them to crack or become brittle over time. First gear and second gear fine through high revs but with 3rd when I get around 8-9000 rpm starts cutting out like not getting enough gas.

When I goose the throttle my motor cuts out at high RPMs. How to fix it. Check your reed valves - change your spark plug if youve done all that check for piston slack Honda CB-1 TS125X VW Golf Estate.

I have a full Yoshi exhaust wPC3. Fuel blockage can cut the engine at higher revs and wider throttle openings. This happens at around 3500 to 4000 RPM.

This is a screw that is designed to keep the throttle plate from closing completely. Examine the intake boots on your carburetor. Bike starts idles and runs fineuntil if the bike is in neutral and at idle it will bog out immediately if you crack the throttle to a hard rev.

The first and most common reason a motorcycle idles high is due to the air and idle screw turned too high. It can be instantaneous seeming like an ignition problem but rectify itself when you back off and engine slows down. I suspect it is either fuel or ignition.

The cut out will last a split second as if it misfired and the bike feels kind of weak. Are you sure the ignition is cutting out. It does it in every gear.

Next is it bogs out at 8000 rpms also. Or better yet borrow a megger and ohm out the coils for insulation resistance to chassis. Similar to rev limiter.

I stop put it in neutral and it revs freely all the way. Weather was perfect low 70s and no humidity. Its just at idle.

- You may hear a rather loud Clunk noise when first gear is engaged. Misfiring at higher rpm is often bad spark plugs or wires sometimes a loose cable at the battery or other electrical contact vibrating like the runstop switch. I need a little help figuring out this issue that recently developed on my 2001 ZR-7s.

My 2001 Harley Davidson is cutting out at high RPM in the top gear. I have an issue with the power cutting in and out sort of like running out of gas or hitting the rev limiter at full throttle and high RPM runs. In addition if the fuel level is set too high.

After a few minutes of riding when the engine warms up Ill roll off the throttle and the RPMs stay at 3k-4k. This condition is primarily caused by dirty air filters but it could also result from the incorrect fitting of after-market accessories such as exhaust systems air filter systems or replacement carburetors of a different type or size. It is found on your carburetor that you are able to turn and adjust and is a tool that will raise and lower the throttle.

If you baby it it revs up just fine and you can snap the throttle at any rpm without any problems. Hey bro it might be your kickstand sensor. It would rev up fine but when i would reach higher rpms it would bog out.

Havent had a problem with it since. I have about 6000 miles on it. It just doesnt go any further.

Have changed the fuel filter and with first and second fine I think is an ignition problem. Once the throttle is released the engine will re fire after several seconds and run properly until you crack the throttle open all the way again and hold it open. It does this in both neutral and all the gears when it hits 6k no matter how much gas u give it.

The bike starts cutting out around 5000 rpms in third gear feels very. Fuel delivery problems usually result in power fading out but can cause a kind of misfire.
