On my old bike I had to adjust the cable tension to get the throttle to snap back correctly.

I lubed the throttle drum but that didnt seem to help. So my question is. But I would check the the throttle return spring first make sure the spring isnt the problem.

Tried different combinations of loosening one cable tightening another and vice versa. Once this adjustment is complete twist the throttle and let go several times. My bike is fly by wire so there are no throttle cables.

However Im have a problem with my throttle body. Is there a specific position or some rotation I need to do with the spring. Its not a throttle tube problem nor a cable problem as i have removed the throttle cables from the butterfly and they move smoothly.

Start with the pull cable and adjust the adjuster until there is approximately 1-2mm of free play in the cable. Not sure what to do. When its straight and turned all the way to the right it snaps back as normal.

There are adjusting nuts where you attach the cables on the carbs that let you change the slack. Shoot some WD40 in there and see if it doesnt free. I also put grease under the grip once.

And if yes mines are not snapping back. It still returned but didnt snap back. The cable and throttle body seem fine no binding and free movement.

When I installed my Iso grips on my Ultra Classic I noticed that if I moved the switch housing and grip too far up on the handle bar the throttle would rub a bit and not snap back. Youd have to use some serious force to screw up the throttle from the grip end. Now instead of the throttle snapping immediately back to closed position upon release it returns slowly.

Adjust the idle cable until you have a minimum free play of the throttle grip but the grip still snaps. Put the cable back in place and screwed it back up. If you have a frayed cable you will never get it.

If you cant get it adjusted properly this way youll have to adjust the cable at the throttle body then fine tune at the housing. I dont really get why the two fight each other but it happened. Turn the bars all the way to the left.
